Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong
Fascinating gemstones with unusual colours take pride of place in the display windows of Caram eK.
Among these rare finds is a spectacular 8-carat colour-change spinel that changes from a cool blue in daylight to a vibrant violet in incandescent light, according to the gemstone manufacturer.
Caram is likewise showcasing a 3-carat cushion-cut Brazilian alexandrite. The gem comes with a GRS certificate stating that the alexandrite exhibits a prominent colour change from green to red. Also in the company’s inventory is a 20-carat alexandrite cat’s eye that is set in a diamond ring.
Aside from these showstoppers, Caram is presenting a vast collection of emeralds, rubies and sapphires. The company said its ability to provide a well curated selection of goods at attractive prices has earned it loyal clients that appreciate its consistency and reliability.
The gemstone dealer is training its sights on buyers from Asia, particularly Southeast Asia, at this year’s show. “The market for coloured gemstones remains buoyant. Demand is healthy across the ‘Big Three’ gemstones and various markets. We expect this positive momentum to support our results at the June Fair,” it said.
